Ceramics 1 – Low Relief 

  1. Discuss the answers from last weeks Foundations quiz.  Make corrections and create “cheat sheet” for Thursday’s make-up quiz.
  2. Learn characteristics of both Low Relief and High Relief art and sculptures.  What is the best way to approach making a relief sculpture?

Painting 1 – Harmony and Balance

  1. Discuss the answers from last weeks Foundations quiz.  Make corrections and create “cheat sheet” for Thursday’s make-up quiz.
  2. Create an understanding for expanding on creating an artwork.  Be able to identify the differences and similarities between the principles Harmony (achieved in a body of work by using similar elements throughout the work, harmony gives an uncomplicated look to a piece of artwork or sculpture.) and Balance ( is arranging elements so that no one part of a work overpowers, or seems heavier than any other part. The three different kinds of balance are symmetrical, asymmetrical, and radial.) in an artwork.
