Goals for the Day: Monday, Nov.12

Ceramics 1: Anti-Pandora’s Box

  1. Let the countdown begin, 11 days to construct your Anti-Pandora’s Box.  The next few days should be dedicated to coming up with a design, you can start with the clay, however you do not have much time to waste playing around with ideas.  The best route would be to have a plan started on paper and then move towards the clay.
  2. Since we are still in the planning phase take into consideration the first three (3) objectives of the assignment: SIZE, THICKNESS, LID.  How are you working with these guidelines to create your box?

Painting 1: PEACE Swap Art Show

  1. Time is starting to wind down and we talked last week about what to expect.  This week, everyone should be focused on putting the final touches on their art projects.  Those who are nearing completion can be excused to the library to fill out the “Artist Information Card”
  2. Try to understand today what I am asking when I say: SOURCES.  I will show an example of looking up SOURCES for an artwork.  If your piece has multiple images that show very general subject matter, than we need to set a bit different source.

Artist Information Cards can be downloaded from Tools & Examples section which is on the right side of this page.
