“There is no such thing as FININSHING or FAILING, it’s all about DOING.” – Rilla Alexander

I can:

  1. Create a CONTOUR LINE self portrait
  2. Transfer my drawing to a new surface, using a practiced technique

Some of you will hit the transferring part of the project towards the second half of class. REMEMBER, you aren’t just tracing the lines, but moving them over to the new paper using Picasso’s technique of drawing CONTOUR LINES.

Journal Self-Reflection: Well, looking back at the past card marking, (all 21 days), we have had some unique experiences working with different types of art mediums.  I’d like to hear from you, on what you believe your strongest project is based on the PROCESS of completing it.  I’d like to know whether or not the materials we used played a part in your attitude when working through all the special issues that might have come up.

Ceramics: Wax Melter Challenge

I can:

  1. Create a plan that will guide me through the completion of my ideas
  2. Apply media, technique, and process with skill and confidence

WARNING!!!

I cannot stress enough how important it is that you have a plan moving forward with your work.  Some have already started, ignoring this step, and are already running into issues.  Most are on course, but quickly approaching decisions that would be much easier, if they have had the decision already made from there plan.  Don’t give up!  Don’t TRY NOT TO FAIL! TRY TO DO.

Painting: Keith Haring Art

I can:

  • Create a plan that will guide me through the completion of my ideas
  • Apply media, technique, and process with skill and confidence

WARNING!!! – I cannot stress this enough throughout the whole process, we need to remember that you are being asked to use Keith Haring characteristics in your painting, however you are painting in YOUR STYLE.  NOT COPYING A PAINTING OF HIS!

If your confused as to what the PURPOSE or MAIN GOAL might be, refer back to your notes, or look at the presentation here.

Drawing: Robo-Bean

I can:

  1. Identify specific parts of the human anatomy
  2. Understand how they relate to figure drawing

We will be taking some time to review over a new set of landmarks that you will need to use on our up and comping drawing quiz!  Make sure you are identifying them properly on your diagrams, so that it becomes easier to notice them on a pose
