Information will come fast and furious, and while I will have a help folder posted online (always) there will be some specific information that you will need to be aware of so that you can ultimately be as successful as possible. We will be wrapping up our watercolor experiments today in class and with the time left over I will introduce your Surrealism Challenge Project. Be sure to make note(s) of the specific requirements that your final grade will be based on.
Painting 2: Non-Objective Art (Painting #1 and #2)

So yesterday I introduced the two new paintings that you will be working on as individual challenges. I am going to take a little time out of the start of class to show you the material that you will have to refer to for help and/or inspiration.
Adv. Drawing: Gesture Drawing (Longer Poses-3 min)
- INTERPRET their understanding of GESTURE drawing by experimenting with a series of fast paced figure studies.
- IDENTIFY characteristics of a gesture drawing by locating and describing where they are in their drawings.
So today we start looking at longer poses and finish with a nice 3 minute gesture drawing. Make sure to refer to your “Answer Key” as it will come in incredibly handy throughout the hour.
