Goals for the Day: Wed. Feb. 18

Ceramics 2: Royal Flush Challenge

  1. CREATE a plan for which you will follow specific steps in building a work of art, by completing an ACTION PLAN.
  2. Orally defend and explain your choices by responding to PROJECT REQUIREMENTS.

Since we’ve been gone for a while, I think it will be a good idea to take a look at our calendar to talk about some important, upcoming dates.  Remember, you can find a “HELP FOLDER” for this challenge, located on the right hand toolbar or at the bottom (mobile viewer) under the Help Folder menu.

 

Intro to Art: Surrealism Challenge

  1.  CREATE a plan for which you will follow specific steps in building a work of art, by completing an ACTION PLAN.

Be sure to check out the “HELP FOLDER” located on the side or bottom tab menu (depending on if your using a mobile phone or not).  Either way, make sure you have a good understanding of the requirements, and what direction(s) you will be taking.

 

Painting 2: Non-Objective Painting

  1.  IDENTIFY the specific steps needed to create a NON-OBJECTIVE painting, by using practiced techniques to communicate an emotion/idea.
  2. Orally defend and explain your choices by responding to PROJECT REQUIREMENTS.

Be sure to check out the “HELP FOLDER” located on the side or bottom tab menu (depending on if your using a mobile phone or not).  Either way, make sure you have a good understanding of the requirements, and what direction(s) you will be taking.

Adv. Drawing:  Continued Work w/ Longer Gesture Poses

  1. APPLY  your ability to create a series of quick sketches from a model or pose by taking part in 1-3-5 Minute Gesture drawings.
  2. IDENTIFY characteristics of a gesture drawing by locating and describing where they are in their drawings.

We will be spending some class time going through and checking out some drawings and their characteristics of whether they are a GESTURE or FINISHED drawing
