Intro to Art: What is Surrealism?
Ever have that dream that just doesn’t make sense, but for some reason while your dreaming, everything just seems right?
Over the course of the next few days, you will be exposed to an interesting art style in which you will use some of the watercolor techniques that we’ve practiced in the past to create a Surrealistic Scene.
Below is a quick presentation with a bit of background information on what Surrealism is and what your project challenge will look like:
Painting 2: Saturday Morning Heroes Challenge
While many of you just received materials yesterday, I just want to reiterate that this painting will be presented as two different layers:
Layer 1 (ACETATE) will have the cartoon character painted on the back of your line work
Layer 2 (watercolor paper) will have a copied version (study) of your album art.
Your work was meant to be “layered” together, but also meant to be “worked on” as layers.
Ceramics 2: Royal Flush Challenge
IMPORTANT INFORMATION….
As many of you will soon find out, there were some HUGE explosions in the kiln last night. Many of your projects are going to be in a completely different state today, then they were when you left yesterday. There are going to be a ton of questions that you have, but the most important one is…YOUR DEADLINE IS STILL THIS FRIDAY.
The goal to this challenge was to make something unique, and yes this presents a whole new hurdle to jump over, but like the example from last year, the next choice you make will determine the level of success your project is valued at.
