Intro to Art: Value Study Challenge

  1. Students will show proficiency and utilize prior knowledge in their understanding and awareness of VALUE by transferring appropriate shades from a reference image by referring to their VALUE SCALE to locate values in their image.
  2. Students will orally ask any questions about the project demonstration they may have using complete sentences.

Deadline week!!! Only a few days left to work on this challenge on our shortened Homecoming week.

Below you will find a link/preview to the requirements for the upcoming project guidelines and requirements for your first project that involves the element of art: VALUE.  Be sure to familiarize yourself with each requirement so that over the next 10 days you can be sure to get full credit on your work.


Drawing: Portfolio Drawing #1: Still Life Value Drawing

  1. Students will show proficiency and utilize prior knowledge in their understanding and awareness of VALUE by transferring appropriate shades from a reference image by referring to their VALUE SCALE to locate values in their image.
  2. Students will orally ask any questions about the project demonstration they may have using complete sentences.

Four days left for this drawing.   Be sure to familiarize yourself with each requirement, and specifically what needs to be accomplished for this piece to viewed as complete as class time will be given to work independently.
